Aaron Hydrick

20 Years of Leadership in Manufacturing, Research and Development, Engineering, Utilities, and the US Military.

“If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change!” – Wayne Dyer

My background is different from the typical leadership trainer, coach and frankly, many of the consultants.

With over 20 years of experience in various leadership roles in industry, the military and academia, I bring practical know-how from real-world challenges and share that with your team. This is something that a certified trainer with no practical leadership experience is simply unable to deliver. I have studied and practiced leadership in a number of organizations, from small, privately held manufacturing firms to Fortune 500 companies – even the reactor controls division of a nuclear-powered submarine.

Through the years, as I strived to learn from my mistakes and improve my skills and knowledge, I consistently saw the need for better leadership, better approaches to problems and challenges. Helping organizations, teams and individuals grow and transform into the best version of themselves is more rewarding than anything else I’ve done in my career. Let me share my experience and knowledge, along with some of the best practices collected from some of the world’s leading companies and organizations!

A Bit More: Why I Do What I Do

Aaron Hydrick’s Background

Aaron Hydrick’s more than 20 years of leadership experience includes Manufacturing, Research and Development, Engineering, Utilities, and the US Military.

Aaron has managed everything from machining operations to the design and assembly of new sensors for nuclear applications. He led a team developing one of the world’s newest fiber optic communications cables. He was the senior reactor operator during the initial start-up of a US nuclear submarine reactor following refueling and was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal for his role in the successful and uneventful completion of the series of highly complex tasks associated with that assignment.

Aaron’s strengths include problem-solving in engineering and manufacturing environments and leading others to think creatively to achieve greater successes than they thought they could.

Aaron is passionate about empowering leaders and giving them the skills needed to transform themselves and their organizations.

Aaron taught at the collegiate level, in the navy as training coordinator for the Reactor Controls division of the USS Dallas, and in the commercial environment as well. Aaron holds undergraduate degrees in Ceramic & Electrical Engineering, as well as a Masters in Materials Science & Engineering. He is trained and qualified in the US nuclear industry’s Systematic Approach to Training, commercial manufacturing’s TWI (Training Within Industry) method and is a certified Six-Sigma Black Belt through BMGi and NextEra Energy. One area for which Aaron has consistently been praised is the ability to break down highly technical and complex subject matter into plain, everyday language, and to make it understandable to nearly anyone.
